Casting Casting is the manufacturing process by which a liquid metal is poured into a mold. This mold has been created by the jeweller,goldsmith and/or silversmith to a desired shape or design.  Once the liquid metal has been poured into the mold, it is allowed to cool.  Once cooled the mold is cut away and removed to leave a pattern or model, an exact duplicate of the piece the jeweller is trying to create.  Perrin's offers a full range of casting supplies, casting waxes, casting rubbers, casting molds and casting equipment.
